Every life has a beginning, but not every beginning is where the story truly starts.
Mine began on a small island thousands of miles from America ,with dreams much larger than my suitcase.
I left behind family, Familiar streets, and The comfort of everything I had ever known to pursue a medical career in a country I had only imagined. I had no idea that the journey ahead would take me accross America,introduce me to the man who would become my husband ,bless me with children and grandchildren ,challenge me in ways I could never have predicted and ultimately teach me that it is never too late to begin again.
This is not just a story of a physician.
It is the story of an immigrant, a wife, a mother, a cook, and a woman who discovered that life’s greatest lessons often arrive when we least expect them.
